The hotel is grand and its design, impressive. The marble lobby features chandeliers and a grand piano. There are nods to both India and Arabia in the décor, with artefacts and artworks on display. There are terraces and rooftop gardens.
The spa here is swish and welcoming, and has a good range of treatments, especially Indian ones. The 60-minute Vishram Indian Aromatherapy full-body relaxing massage, for example, using oil blended with kewda, frankincense and brahmi infused with sandalwood and sesame, melts away your stress.

There are plenty of options, from all-day dining at Tesoro, the Eloquent Elephant gastropub and Indian cuisine at flagship Bombay Brasserie. We loved the starter of baked avocado in a spiced marinade, followed by lamb coated in masala sauce.
